of Oliver Ferguson, who has provided great service to the parish for so many
years, the position of Sacristan in St. Matthew’s Church, Crosskeys
will be advertised in due course.
The Irish Hospice Foundation Bereavement Support Line,
a national freephone service 1800 80 70 77,
is available from 10am to 1pm, Monday to Friday. To offer comfort and
support to anyone who has been impacted by bereavement during COVID-19, or is
finding it more difficult to cope with a pre-Covid bereavement at this time?
ALONE manage a national support line and additional
supports for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties relating
to the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
Professional staff are available to answer queries and
give advice and reassurance where necessary. The support line is open seven
days a week, 8am - 8pm, by calling 0818 222 024.

Kelloggs Cúl Camps 2020:
GAA Cúl Camps have been confirmed to go ahead
at St. Matthews Park from Tuesday 4 th
to Friday 7 th August. Numbers are extremely limited
at present however we expect that additional places will be allocated in the
next few days. We will update members as details emerge
Return to play
Eventually our first games of the season are upon us. This Sunday 19 th July we travel to Mullagh to play Cuchullians in
the Romar Energy Senior League with a Reserve game
between the same two side also pencilled in. The senior encounter has a 2.30
throw in to be followed by the reserve game at 4.00 pm. On the following
Saturday July 25 th we have
a home game in the Romar Energy Senior League when we
entertain Ramor United’s second XV whilst on Sunday
26 th July our second reserve game will see Cornafean visit St. Mathews Park.
Everyone needs to continue to be conscious of the personal
responsibility we all share to eliminate the virus.
Cullys Craft Bakery Junior Championship
We have been pitted against Swanlinbar in
Round 1 of this years Junior
Football Championship which will be an intriguing encounter given that the west
Cavan side were only relegated from Intermediate last year and have been
boosted by the addition of a contingent from Corlough
in the interim. The game will be played on the weekend of August 7 th with the venue yet to be
decided

Senior training
resumed last week with underage active over the past weekend. League
competitions for our senior team will resume over the weekend of 17th July
with details to be disclosed shortly as to Juvenile activities for the year.
