Blessing for Mothers on Mother’s Day. Loving God, as a mother gives life and nourishment to her children, so you watch over your Church. Bless these mothers, that they may be strengthened as Christian mothers. Let the example of their faith and love shine forth. Grant that we, their sons and daughters, may honour them always with a spirit of profound respect. Grant this through Christ our Lord.

Last year we celebrated the 80th anniversary of Cavan Cathedral. Despite the completion of the cathedral renovation, there is still a financial cost for the works to be paid. Father Kevin has raised €1.8 million of his €2 million goal. The fundraising campaign is now at crucial stage and Bishop Hayes has asked all the faithful in the Diocese to consider making a contribution to this landmark campaign.

Information packs are available at the back of church after Mass. You may take one, if interested, and make a sacrificial donation that is right for you.
