Word meeting of Families Petition Box Itinerary:
As part of the
preparations for the World Meeting of Families, a special petition box will
visit every parish in the diocese. It will be available in each parish from the
assigned Saturday evening until the following Friday. During that time each
parish can decide whether to leave the box in the parish church or move it
round all the churches in the parish. Pen and paper will be available so that
people can write their petition and there is no money to be included. Each
parish would take the responsibility for passing on the box as per the
itinerary. The petition will be taken to a religious community who will pray
for the intentions and then the intensions will be taken and included in masses
celebrated during the World Meeting of Families in Dublin in August 2018
including the final mass celebrated by Pope Francis.
