Kilmore Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock will take place on Sunday, the 16th of June. Ceremonies will begin at 2:30pm.
Diocesan Celebration for Bishop Leo O’Reilly - There will be a concelebrated Mass in the Cavan Cathedral, on the Feast of Pentecost, Sunday 9th June 2019, at 3:00p.m. to mark the Golden Jubilee of Bishop O'Reilly's Ordination to the Priesthood and also his recent retirement as Bishop of Kilmore. Bishop Leo will be the principal celebrant and the homily will be given by Mons. Liam Kelly,Diocesan Administrator. There will be an informal reception afterwards in St. Patrick's College. All are welcome to attend.
The Annual visit of the relics of St. Oliver Plunkett to the Conaty Chapel in the Kilmore Diocesan Pastoral Centre will take place on Tuesday 4 June 2019. The relics will arrive at 10:00a.m. and will be available for veneration until 10:00p.m. Mass at 1:15p.m. will be offered for those doing examinations around this time. Fr. Ultan McGoohan, will celebrate Mass at 5:45p.m. The former Bishop of Meath, Most Reverend Michael Smith, will be the principal celebrant of the 8:00p.m. Mass and give the homily. The choir from St. Killian's Church in Mullagh will provide the sacred music for the Mass. Confessions available from 12 noon to 1:00p.m.; 4:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.; and 6:30p.m. to 7:45p.m. Petitions/Offerings, marked “ St. Oliver” may be sent to the Kilmore Diocesan Pastoral Centre, The Conaty Centre, Cullies, Cavan H12 E5C7. All are welcome for this very special event which is being organised by the Kilmore Diocesan Pastoral Centre with the assistance of the Knights of Saint Columbanus.
The Kilmore Diocesan Mothers of the Church group is offering a Healing Holy Hour which will take place on Sunday the 26th of May at 4pm in The Cathedral in Cavan. This Holy Hour will include a special blessing with the Eucharist, quiet song, and also a small teaching on spiritual wellness. People will have the opportunity to pray especially for the grace of a holy death and for victims of any type of abuse. All are welcome!
