Lavey Ladies GAA 6th Annual 5k/10k Fun Run is on Sunday June 16th in aid of Ballyjamesduff Cancer Support Fund.  Registration starts at 11am at Lavey Community Centre.  The Run starts at 12.30.  €10 for Adults, €5 for kids €20 for family.  Get your running shoes on for a great local cause.

 

On Thursday evening the 6th June at 7pm in The Soul Sanctuary (formerly Kilnacrott Abbey), Ballyjamesduff, there will be a talk by Anne, a lay apostle, followed by adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Kilmore Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock will take place on Sunday, the 16th of June. Ceremonies will begin at 2:30pm. 

 

Diocesan Celebration for Bishop Leo O’Reilly - There will be a concelebrated Mass in the Cavan Cathedral, on the Feast of Pentecost, Sunday 9th June 2019, at 3:00p.m. to mark the Golden Jubilee of Bishop O'Reilly's Ordination to the Priesthood and also his recent retirement as Bishop of Kilmore.  Bishop Leo will be the principal celebrant and the homily will be given by Mons. Liam Kelly,Diocesan Administrator.  There will be an informal reception afterwards in St. Patrick's College.  All are welcome to attend.

 

The Annual visit of the relics of St. Oliver Plunkett to the Conaty Chapel in the Kilmore Diocesan Pastoral Centre will take place on Tuesday 4 June 2019.  The relics will arrive at 10:00a.m. and will be available for veneration until 10:00p.m. Mass at 1:15p.m. will be offered for those doing examinations around this time.  Fr. Ultan McGoohan, will celebrate Mass at 5:45p.m.  The former Bishop of Meath, Most Reverend Michael Smith, will be the principal celebrant of the 8:00p.m. Mass and give the homily.  The choir from St. Killian's Church in Mullagh will provide the sacred music for the Mass.  Confessions available from 12 noon to 1:00p.m.; 4:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.; and 6:30p.m. to 7:45p.m.  Petitions/Offerings, marked “St. Oliver” may be sent to the Kilmore Diocesan Pastoral Centre, The Conaty Centre, Cullies, Cavan H12 E5C7.   All are welcome for this very special event which is being organised by the Kilmore Diocesan Pastoral Centre with the assistance of the Knights of Saint Columbanus.​ 

 

A fundraising Golf Classic in aid of the Kilmore Diocesan Pastoral Centre (the old St. Patrick's College building) will take place on Friday 28 June in the County Cavan Golf Club beginning at 8:30a.m.  Parishes have been invited to sponsor one team for this event.  If you would like to be part of a parish team, please contact your parish priest.  Alternatively, please contact the Centre on 049 4375004 for further information or if you would like to register your own team of four players for €200 per team or a special early-bird rate of €180 if your team can tee off between 8:30a.m. and 11:00a.m.
