Water & Blood flowed out:
At mass a little water is added
to the wine as the chalice is prepared. This custom goes back to the year 150
A.D. There was an ancient custom in Greece which was adopted by the Romans and
the Jews of adding some water to wine to lessen its potency. So this mixing of
water and wine is symbolic of the blood and water flowing from the side of
Christ as he hung dying on the cross for us.

Community Centre Renovation Fund:
Mini horse race night
in aid of Drumavaddy Community Renovation fund will
be held in the Tank Bar on Sunday night April 30th followed by music
and DJ Sarge.
Horses €10 and can be
purchased from any committee member or The Tank Bar. A good night promised and
your support would be appreciated.
