1. From 12 noon on 1st November until midnight on 2nd November,
all who have
confessed, received Holy Communion, and prayed for the
Pope’s intentions (one Our
Father
and Hail Mary, or any other prayer of one’s choice) can gain one plenary
indulgence by visiting a church or oratory, and there reciting
one Our Father and the
Apostle’s
Creed.
This indulgence is applicable only to
the souls of the departed. Confession may be
made at any time within the week preceding or the week
following 1st November.
Holy Communion may be received on
any day from 1st to 8th November.
Pastoral Council Members:
I wish to acknowledge
that we had 14 Pastoral Council Members at the launch of the Diocesan Pastoral
Plan 2016-2020. After the school break we will have our meeting.
Note:
Emer & Clare Tierney have learned to play 30
hymns and sing 30 hymns and have spent a lot of their free time achieving this.
They are also very dependable. If a family prefers to have their own music at a
Month's Memory or Anniversary it would be good to let them know in advance.
