St Joseph Young Priest  Society Meeting in Drumavaddy Church after Mass on Monday evening.

 

The Kilmore Diocesan Mothers of the Church group is offering a Healing Holy Hour which will take place on Sunday the 26th of May at 4pm in The Cathedral in Cavan. This Holy Hour will include a special blessing with the Eucharist, quiet song, and also a small teaching on spiritual wellness. People will have the opportunity to pray especially for the grace of a holy death and for victims of any type of abuse. All are welcome!

 

Eucharistic Adoration. This is the greatest blessing we have, after Holy Mass. Presently we need people to keep Jesus company from 12 – 1pm and 7-8pm. It will be greatly appreciated by organisers. Jesus will thank you and bless you.

ACCORD invites applications for the Certificate in Counselling (Marriage and  Relationship), for the academic year 2019/2020.

The Certificate, validated by St. Patrick’s College Maynooth, is aligned to Level 8, 20 ECTS on the National Framework of Qualifications (Level 6 England, Wales and NI) and is aimed at qualified, experienced counsellors/psychotherapists who have:

·       Degree/Diploma in Counselling/Psychotherapy

·       Completed a minimum of 200 client hours and have a current  supervised caseload

·       Knowledge/Experience of the Person Centred Approach

·       Successful applicants’ course and supervision fees funded by ACCORD

 Training in Maynooth over eight weekends, September 2019 to June 2020

Golden Jubilee Celebrations, centring around the August Bank Holiday Weekend. Amongst a host of other events, a Book chronicling the history of our club will be launched on Thursday 1st August with a drama depicting the characters of the club will be staged on Friday August 2nd. There will be many other events over the weekend – details will be released in coming weeks.

A 5km charity walk in aid of Pieta House, the suicide and self-harm crisis centre, will take place on the morning of Saturday 11th May in Cavan town, beginning at 4.15am at Cavan Institute, Cathedral Road, Cavan. Anyone wishing to attend the walk can register online at http://dil.pieta.ie/ or we have a pop-up shop above Luna Bar, Cavan town (beside Easons), which will be open each Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm to 9pm, or on Saturday 4th May from 12noon to 4pm.
